GhostVault uses an offline license-file activation process so the software can remain private, local-first, and free from an always-online account requirement.
After purchase, install GhostVault, generate a license request file from inside the application, and email that file for manual review. Your signed license file will be returned by email.
How the license process works
GhostVault activation is intentionally built around an offline request-and-license file workflow. The application does not require a cloud inventory account.

What it should not contain
The license request file is not intended to include your private GhostVault inventory records, photos, documents, or encrypted vault data.

Before sending your request
A few details help us match the license request to the correct purchase and return the license file as smoothly as possible.
Email your request file
Send your GhostVault license request file to licenses@getghostvault.com from the same email address used during checkout. Include your order number if available. License requests are matched to WooCommerce purchase records before a license file is issued.
License recovery and transfers
License recovery and transfer requests are reviewed manually to protect legitimate customers while keeping GhostVault offline-first.
Recovering a license
License recovery is intended for the original purchaser. Contact support with your purchase email, order number if available, and a short explanation of the issue.
Moving to a new computer
If you are moving GhostVault to a new computer, install GhostVault on the new computer, generate a new request file, and submit it for transfer review.
