Does GhostVault require a cloud account?
No. GhostVault is offline-first Windows desktop software. You do not need a cloud inventory account for daily use.
Is my inventory uploaded to GhostVault?
No. GhostVault is intended to store inventory records locally on your computer. Your firearm, accessory, ammunition, magazine, photo, and document records are not uploaded to a GhostVault cloud inventory database.
What information is collected when I buy?
Purchase information may include the details needed to process payment, deliver the software, issue a license, provide support, and meet payment or tax requirements.
Is GhostVault anonymous?
GhostVault is privacy-focused and does not require a cloud inventory account, but purchases through normal payment processors are not completely anonymous.
Offline license-file activation.
GhostVault uses an offline license-file process instead of an always-online account login.
How do I activate GhostVault?
After purchase, install GhostVault and use the License / Activation screen inside the application to generate a license request file. Email that request file to licenses@getghostvault.com using the same email address used during checkout.
Why are licenses manually generated?
Manual review supports GhostVault’s offline activation model and helps match license files to legitimate purchase records.
How long does license delivery take?
License files are manually reviewed, generated, and returned by email. Delivery may take up to a few business days during early launch.
Can I move GhostVault to another computer?
Moving GhostVault to a new computer may require a new license request file and transfer review. Install GhostVault on the new computer, generate a new request file, and contact support.
GhostVault Core is a one-time purchase.
GhostVault 1.0 is available as a digital download with a one-time Core license.
Is GhostVault a subscription?
No. GhostVault Core is sold as a one-time license. There is no recurring subscription required for GhostVault Core.
How do I get the installer?
Purchase the GhostVault Core Digital Download from the Buy GhostVault page. Your order provides access to the GhostVault 1.0 Windows installer download.
Can I try GhostVault before buying?
Yes. The demo download lets you review the GhostVault workflow before purchasing a Core license. Demo limits may apply.
Is there a USB edition?
A physical USB Edition is planned, but it is not the primary launch purchase. The digital download is the recommended option for GhostVault 1.0.
What does GhostVault track?
GhostVault Core is focused on private local record keeping and practical inventory management.
Updates are handled manually.
GhostVault is offline-first and does not automatically check the website for updates.
How do updates work?
GhostVault updates are handled manually. Visit the Updates page to check the current version, release notes, update instructions, and available signed update packages.
Can I get update notices?
Yes. Use the Updates page to sign up for occasional GhostVault update notices. Since GhostVault does not automatically check the website, update notices are the easiest way to learn when a new version is available.
