If you already downloaded and installed the demo, you do not need to download the installer again. Purchase the license-only option, generate your license request file inside GhostVault, and email it to licenses@getghostvault.com.

How licensing works

GhostVault uses an offline license-file process. The software does not require an always-online account or cloud inventory database.

1. Install GhostVault Download the demo or Core Digital Download and install GhostVault 1.0 on your Windows computer.
2. Purchase License Buy GhostVault Core Digital Download or the license-only option if you already installed the demo.
3. Generate Request Open the License / Activation screen and create a .gvrequest license request file.
4. Email Request Email the request file to licenses@getghostvault.com with your order number and purchase email if possible.
5. Receive License Your request will be manually reviewed and a signed license file will be returned by email.
6. Activate Import the returned license file inside GhostVault to activate GhostVault Core.
Early launch note: License files are manually reviewed, generated, and returned by email. Delivery may take up to a few business days during early launch.

Firearm Loadouts Create visual firearm configurations and organize accessory assignments by setup.
Ammunition & Magazines Track ammunition stock, storage locations, magazine groups, quantities, and assignments.
Photos & Documents Attach receipts, manuals, appraisals, permits, insurance documents, and other supporting files.
Reports Generate organized reports for personal records, insurance documentation, and estate discussions.
Backup & Restore Create backups and restore GhostVault records when moving, recovering, or protecting your data.
Owner & Estate Records Organize owner information, trusted contacts, permits, identification, and estate-related records.

Updates are manual and offline-first

GhostVault does not automatically check the internet for updates, contact the website in the background, or download updates automatically.

No Background Checks GhostVault does not silently contact getghostvault.com to check for new versions.
Manual Update Page Customers can periodically visit the Updates page when they want to check for new releases.
Email Notices Optional update-notification emails are available for customers who want release notices.
Signed Update Files Future routine updates will be provided as signed .gvupdate packages for manual installation.
Customer Backup First Customers should create a current GhostVault backup before installing any future update.
Local Control Updates are installed through GhostVault’s Admin → Updates workflow.
