GhostVault is licensed, not sold.
Limited software license
Subject to these terms and successful license activation, GhostVault grants the purchaser a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use GhostVault Core for private inventory record keeping.

Original purchaser use
Unless otherwise stated in the purchased edition, the license is intended for the original purchaser’s private use and may not be resold, shared, rented, sublicensed, distributed, or used to activate unrelated installations.
3. Offline license-file activation
GhostVault uses an offline license-file activation process.
License request file
After purchase, the customer may be required to generate a license request file from within GhostVault and submit that request for manual review. A signed license file may then be provided by email.
License requests should be sent from the same email address used during checkout whenever possible so the request can be matched to the purchase record.
License delivery
During early launch, license files are manually reviewed, generated, and returned by email. Delivery may take up to a few business days after the license request file is received.
4. License recovery, transfers, and additional devices
License recovery and transfer requests are reviewed manually.
Original purchaser recovery
License recovery is intended to help the original purchaser recover access to the purchased software. A recovered or reissued license may not be used to activate unrelated installations or shared with another person.
Moving to another computer
Moving GhostVault to a replacement computer may require a new license request file and manual transfer review. Additional users, unrelated installations, or additional devices may require an additional license or upgraded license.

GhostVault is local-first software. Users are responsible for protecting their own records.
Backups and data protection
Users are responsible for maintaining their own records, protecting their computer, remembering passwords, preserving recovery information, and creating appropriate backups.

GhostVault is a record-keeping tool only.
